Bipolar Project

This blog is my way of helping others better understand the reality of living with bipolar disorder  – whether they are personally affected by it or simply interested in learning more.

This blog is intended for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice. If you have any health concerns, please seek professional medical care.

Definition

Bipolar disorder—which I also live with—is often characterized by significant mood changes, ranging from highly energetic periods known as manic episodes to episodes of depression. It is not simply a matter of mood swings, but a serious mental health condition that affects the brain and every aspect of a person’s life. My own experience has shown me just how real and challenging it can be.

Our goal

My name is Martin, and I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in June 2022. After years of uncertainty, hospitalizations, treatment, and major setbacks in my life, I decided to share my experiences with anyone interested in learning more about this condition. I am not a doctor, but someone who lives with bipolar disorder and faces its challenges every single day.

That is why I created this blog. I hope to inspire others to feel stronger, more hopeful, and less burdened by stigma. Most of all, I want you to know that you are not alone. Bipolar disorder is something you can learn to live with and fight through. At times, the journey is incredibly difficult, but I believe it is a fight worth fighting—and one that can be won, one day at a time.

“Bipolar disorder is like constantly moving through cycles—from the depths of hell to the heights of paradise.”

Selected articles

Through this blog, I want to give you an honest and detailed insight into the different episodes of bipolar disorder and the impact they have had on my life and the people around me. I am also deeply interested in understanding what may trigger these episodes, which is why I explore topics such as the substances we consume, our lifestyle, and other factors that may influence mental health.
